Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 & S11 Ultra Review 2025: Features, Specs & Top Competitors Compared

Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 And Tab S11 Ultra Review: Features Vs Competitors

Samsung has announced its new flagship, high-end tablets Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, and they focused on delivering powerful productivity and entertainment experiences. Both tablets fill cosmic needs - the Tab S11 provides a small and highly capable solution while the S11 Ultra is for power users with their enormous display and top notch specs.

Design and Display

Galaxy Tab S11: 11-inch display that means AMOLED technology 2X display, sharp resolution 2560 x 1600 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 1600 nits that's great for bright visualization even in bright sunshine. The Ultra steps up with a whopping 14.6 inches Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen of 2960 x 1848 pixels which is also running at 120Hz with an Anti-Reflection coating for better viewing angles and lesser glare. Both tablets are super thin and light, the Ultra tablet is only 5.1mm thick as well as being as thin as Apple's iPad Pro. The sleek, all-metal frames and lack of excessive bezels adds to their premium appeal.

Performance and Hardware

Under-the-hood, it can be said that both the tablets share the same chipset: the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset which gives an amazing boost over previous models. The Tab S11 is available with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage, which expands by microSD, and the Ultra model extends as far as 16GB RAM and 1TB storage for tough multitasking and storage jobs. Battery-wise, the Tab S11 packs in an 8400mAh battery with a 45W fast charge whilst the Ultra model reaches an impressive 11,600mAh battery with a 23 hours video length and also the 45W fast charge.

Samsung also keeps up its tradition where they included the S Pen stylus alongside both tablets. The redesigned S Pen has a hexagonal ridged grip and a new cone-shaped nib to give a more natural writing and drawing experience. The stylus connects magnetically with the tablet's edge and offers wireless charging.

Software and Features

Running One UI 8 with Android 16, both tablets are able to use Samsung's AI enhancements like the integration of Google Gemini, and Galaxy AI, like Drawing Assist and Writing Assist that are used to transform a sketch into artwork and rephrase text better, respectively. Samsung DeX has also been upgraded to offer the experience of a seamless multi-window desktop so that users can multitask easily between work and entertainment.

Add to this IP68 water and dust resistance rating adds to the durability, while in-display fingerprint scanners, facial unlock, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 and 5G support on Ultra variant fills out the high-end connectivity options.

Camera Setup

For photography and video calls the Tab S11 is equipped with a single 13MP rear camera and 12MP front camera that is able to record 4K videos. The Ultra variant gets a dual setup with back cameras of 13MP and an ultra-wide of 8MP alongside the same 12MP front camera catering to content creators, and remote workers who didn't mind the quality of the video.

Competitors in the Market

Samsung's Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra takes aim at Apple's iPad Pro 2024 as a head-on competitor, paralleling the slim form factor and display quality while being followed by a different - and more flexible - ecosystem of Android users. While the iPad Pro continues to have a leg up in the form of silicon performance and app focus, the S11 Ultra excels in its S Pen included accessory and the characteristics adapted to multisurfing and productivity outside of the Apple community.

Among Android rivals, we have Xiaomi's Pad 7 Pro, a better bang for your buck with a screen of slightly higher resolution but lacking Samsung's AMOLED contrast and peak brightness in its tablets. Samsung still leads in the high quality Android tablet market through its combination of display technology, productivity software and build quality.

This overview has pointed out the important aspects of Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 and S11 Ultra to position them as flagship tablets that will serve different needs for users-from compacted portability to ultimate productivity powerhouses.
