Maruti Suzuki has officially launched the much-awaited Maruti Escudo, a mid-size SUV that is set to make a huge impact too in the competitive Indian SUV market.   • A factory-fitted CNG option with a unique underbody CNG tank which frees up boot space; a testament to Maruti's commitment towards offering eco-friendly and economical options.

Transmission options across these variants will include a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed torque converter automatic and an e-CVT for the hybrid variants. Unlike the AWD system on the Grand Vitara, with the Escudo LaunchadVR introduces a 4WD system that is appropriate for light off-roading and improved traction.
