2025 Renault Triber Facelift and MG's New Launches: A Week of Automotive Highlights

This week has seen enormous activities in the Indian automotive sector, as the 2025 Renault Triber facelift model was released, and the MG Motor India presented the MG Cyberster electric roadster. 2025 Renault Triber Facelift: A New Age Family Wagon

On July 23, 2025, Renault India released the long-awaited Renault Triber facelift 2025. That the updated Triber will come in the price range of 6.29-9.16 lakh (ex-showroom) only adds to the attraction of the urban family with its combination of style, functionality, and affordability.

Key Updates:

Exterior Injections: The Triber has acquired a new state of art face with a gloss black grille, LED projector headlights and updated bumpers, making it look more modern and tougher.

Cabin Improvements: The interior of the new model will have a virtual driver display of 7 inches, floating touchscreen-powered 8 inches of the infotainment system that supports wireless CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, and wireless phone charging. There are also enhanced materials and a more modern cabin layout.

Safety and Comfort: The standard features in the area of safety are 6 airbags, cruise control, rain sensing wipers, and front parking sensors. The MPV still provides versatile seating configurations of 5+ and 7 seats as well the use of its boot capacity which reaches as much as 625 liters with the third row removed.

Powertrain: Triber has a 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder, petrol engine that churns out 72 PS of power and 96 Nm of torque and is coupled with a 5-speed manual or AMT. There is a CNG version as well available but it is dealer-fitted.

The face lift of Triber has already started being distributed, and is available at an affordable range compared to its competitors such as the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Kia Carens, and it has got a taste of a proper balance in features and utility. 

MG Cyberster: The electric Indian Fast Roadster

MG Motor India ventured into the domain of electrification by introducing the Cyberster electric roadster on July 25, 2025, under the umbrella of a sub-brand called MG Select. The Cyberster is priced at 72.49 lakh and 74.99 lakh with early and new booking respectively and will be a big leap forward in the premium ev strategy of MG in India.

Features and Performance:

Powertrain: The Cyberster comes with a dual-motor system producing 510 PS and 725 Nm of torque, so this means that it takes only 3.2 seconds to reach 100 km/h. It has a 77 kWh battery giving it a range of up to 580 km per one charge.

Design and Interior: The roadster has a futuristic design that entails scissor doors, sparse cockpit, and high quality vegan leather in the interior. It also incorporates a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an audio system supplied by Bose and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

Brand Positioning: Cyberster will be branded in a way that it competes with conventional sports cars such as BMW Z4, it will provide a combination of performance and sustainability. 

Future of MG: What is About to be Launched

The future MG Motor India is slated to have an exciting stable remaining part of 2025:

MG Majestor: The 3-row SUV is coming as a full-size vehicle with a presumable launch towards the festive season. It will have 2.0 litre twin turbo diesel that has a power of 218 bhp, and it will be enjoy competition with the Toyota Fortuner. 

MG M9 EV: A premium all-electric executive MPV providing the business-class level comfort and such features as a panorama sunroof and Level 2 ADAS. It is projected to go live in 2025 in August. 

MG 4 EV: a small-scale electric hatchback, which is expected to be introduced in December 2025. It will serve the increasing urban markets with affordable EVs.

The developments of this week have held great significance towards the future of the Indian automotive industry, owing to the introduction of the Triber facelift by Renault, which has made the prospect of affordable family travel even more enticing, and the Cyberster by MG that has raised the bar with regard to electric performance.
